Spring, Texas -
The Old Town Spring Improvement District was created to
promote, develop, encourage, and maintain employment,
commerce, transportation, housing, tourism, recreation, arts,
entertainment, economic development, safety, scenic beauty,
and the public welfare in the Old Town Spring area of Harris
County. This District was created to serve a public use and
benefit. It provides funding for the economic health and
vitality of this area by providing and maintaining common
areas and facilities in the District, providing improvements
for the public, residents, merchants, and landowners, and
promoting health, safety, and welfare enjoyment of the public.
The District further promotes restoration, preservation and
enhancement of the scenic beauty of the area. The primary
accomplishments of the District to date are: Fire hydrants for
the area, 90 new streetlights for the District, numerous
landscaping projects to enhance the beauty of this area, and
maintenance and leasing of parking facilities and public
restrooms for Old Town Spring. There are many other projects
in the planning stages now, but this District will continue to
explore new projects to improve and enhance the area.
